 VISITORS

Everyone at Harvest Church was once a visitor! We know it's not easy visiting a new church for the first time, so that's why we work at being a church where people can be themselves, make new friends, and meet God just where they are. We have a place for everyone - young or old, starting out or starting over, dressed-up or dressed-down—it's a safe place to step out in faith and see where God can take you!

You probably have a number of these questions:

Will I fit in?
Will the people be unfriendly, or too friendly?
Will it be easy to leave if I don’t enjoy it?
Will they ask me for money?
Will my kids enjoy it?
How should I dress?

What can I expect when I visit?

At the front door, you'll be met by friendly people.  They'll say hello, give you a name tag (everyone has one), answer any questions you may have and direct you to the auditorium.  Feel free to grab a cup of coffee on the way.

As you come to the auditorium, you'll be given a copy of the "Harvest Bulletin" which includes a connection-visitor card.  The Harvest Bulletin aloso contains an outline of the message for the week, the order of service (so you can know what's coming up next) and general information about the church - including upcoming events. If you are a first time vistor we ask you to please fill out a connection - visitor card so we can have a record of your visit and possibly get to know you better.

What do I do with my kids?

We have classes for your children, birth to 5 years-old during the worship service.  For children up to age 5, head to the Nursery - Preschool Table where we'll help you register your children for class.  We have developed a great security system and your children will be safe and well cared for while you enjoy the worship service. Children of all ages are always welcome to attend our worship service - its "family integrated" worship.

What is the Dress Code?

Quite simply - there isn't one.   We range from "office casual" to jeans, to shorts, and running shoes.  You are welcome to come in whatever is most comfortable to you.

What will we do at the service?

Our services begin and end with uplifting music. Our pastor prepares weekly messages that are biblically based, interesting, and relate to everyday life.  The sermon is usually about 35-40 minutes long and every once in a while, we will include drama, songs and movie clips to add to your worship experience. We take an offering near the end of the service. As a visitor, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering unless you want to give. When the offering comes around, your gift to us could be the connection - visitor card you filled out at the beginning of the service. Just put it in the offering bag as it passes by. Worship through the giving of tithes and offerings gives our regular attenders  and members a chance to give back to God and to His work.  We also provide a time of invitation at the end of every service where you can ask for prayer, or make any decision that God has placed on your heart.  We're here to help you on your spiritual journey!

Our service usually wraps up around 11:30.

After you pick up your children from the nursery or preschool classes, we hope you'll stay a while and experience the warmth and friendliness of Harvest Church.  Church is not only about God and worship; but it's also about community, friendship, and building relationships.

If you would like more information about  joining an existing bible study or hosting a Harvest Church home bible study group at your home please call or email the church office (see the contact-us  tab for more information).

Visiting a new church can actually be a pleasant experience when you know what's happening. We hope to see you soon!

Blessings to you...Pastor Mike
